Currently when a translation is started the translation title is just a copy of the original title.
Since editing the title is not common on a wiki, this may lead to the article being published with an untranslated title causing problems and additional work to fix them.
This ticket proposes to adjust the translation title using the following methods when available (in order of priority):
- Wikidata label in the target language. For example, the [[ https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q500 | Wikidata item for Lemon ]] has a label for the Ewe (ee) language despite the article not existing in such language. Thus, a translation from English to Ewe should have "mumue" as a title instead of "Lemon".
- Machine translated version of the title. Machine translation can help to have an initial version of the title in the local language. Even if the title is not always correct, the translation errors can drive the user attention to it and help to encourage editing the title.
**When translating sections** (on desktop and mobile), the section mapping information can be used to find a relevant title.
**Considerations**
- This ticket is intended as an initial step. Follow-up tickets can provide more clarity and control to the users by showing the MT card with he different sources for title translations (including the available MT providers): {T324452}
- Titles provided in the parameters should be respected (i.e., use the target title if it was provided). We need to make sure that the tools providing such parameters do so only when they are providing a meaningful title (otherwise t is preferred not to provide it and translation to happen).
