The PCS summary endpoint tries to exclude some content from its output that otherwise appears on a page to derive an introduction to an article page: * IPA in various forms, sometimes with audio pronunciations (and sometimes a loudspeaker icon and/or "listen" link) * details about a person's birth and/or death date in parentheses * references This question is mostly about the pronunciation related content. (The references case is easily covered by stripping elements with classes `mw-ref` or `reference`.) The summary code already excludes elements with classes `noexcerpt` or `noprint`, too. The summary endpoint can easily add more classes.
