From the AuthManager patch: > AuthorizationRequest mixes data and presentation, and the presentation seems very limiting. Some provider might want to have complex form elements and/or javascript (e.g. for a fancy username box like http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2011/08/new-approaches-to-designing-login-forms/#new-log-in-problems). What should a Persona or a ReCaptcha provider do, for example? Also, displaying a nice login form without any placement or formatting hints sounds like a design nightmare. (See e.g. T26291. Although such a generic login page might be a design nightmare anyway.) Also there are nuances like which fields to reset (we want to clear the captcha field on a failed captcha attempt but not the realname field).
