There are two extreme options in watchlists : either only the latest edit to pages are shown (default), or all edits are shown (expanded watchlist). It would make sense to have a middle ground, and be able to specify the desiredin options the number of lastalready visited edits to each pages that should be displayed on one's watchlist. I may choose three; but others would want more or less. Default is one (latest only), expanded is unlimited. It could be added in the watchlist preferences, in display options.
It would be worth having an option to only show the latest edit of a user in advanced optionsexpanded watchlist.
If I choose 0, and take it into account (i.e.then only unvisited edits would be displayed, if editor x makes 2 editswhile if I choose 1, thenthe last visited editor y makes 3 edits for each page would also be shown, then editor z makes 1 edit, and so on. the watchlist would show only the last one of xWhen the option suggested in T76299 is enabled, last one of y and last edit)a group of consecutive edits by a single user should count as one.
