  1. Analyze the platform
  2. Analyze the features that they provide

Then identify,

  1. What are we weak at?
  2. What are we strong at?
  3. What users on other platforms want?
  4. Translation UX
  5. Developer UX

You may not expect extra-work, but I still would like to point Mozilla Pontoon which is really excellent, despite it is almost only used for Mozilla projects.
