@Aklapper Apologies again, I uploaded the wrong video. The original was also linked in the previous thread and I'll reupload it here and edit my original issue.
@Aklapper Task has been renamed to reflect more focused/accurate issue.
@matmarex Will do. Thank you for the response :)
Hi @matmarex It does appear to work with copy pasting from paint but it doesn't work when copying pasting an image from another browser tab.
@Aklapper Understood.
@Florian Sorry to bother on this old ticket but I don't see how to do this in my current (1.31) installation of Mediawiki with Visual Editor enabled. Is this feature still in mediawiki or has it been taken out?
Hey, just curious if this feature is actually in Visual Editor or not? I can't seem to find it, or figure out how to use it.
@Aklapper Apologies, I was trying to give as much info as possible so as to be helpful.
Sure thing :) Thank you for telling me about Special:Version I wasn't sure how to do that since I had pulled everything down through git.
Everything is latest branch. 1.32 mediawiki etc.
@Aklapper Hey Andre I tried to log a stacktrace of the exception but I couldn't figure out how from the link you posted. I enabled all forms of debugging mentioned on that page and nothing additional came of it. I tried setting a location for a log file and no log file was produced when I recreated the error. I am getting that error message as before: (this time it's [344d3a852f2aac6bf49e1844] Exception caught: Call to undefined method Flow\Api\ApiFlowNewTopic::profileIn() which is basically the same thing), but I don't see any additional logging information either in the location that I designated for the log files to output (which I designated using the setting $wgDebugLogFile = "/var/www/mediawiki/debug-{$wgDBname}.log";) nor do I see any log files in /var/log that seem like they would be related.
@Aklapper Hi sorry for the delay in responding. I will get that for you ASAP
@Arlolra Awesome thank you.
Thank you @Arlolra
It works!
Yes, that is correct.
mwApis: - # This is the only required parameter, # the URL of you MediaWiki API endpoint. uri: 'https://wiki.jackalope.tech/api.php' # The "domain" is used for communication with Visual Editor # and RESTBase. It defaults to the hostname portion of # the `uri` property above, but you can manually set it # to an arbitrary string. It must match the "domain" set # in $wgVirtualRestConfig. domain: 'wiki.jackalope.tech' # optional
Thank you @Arlolra I'm sorry to have been all over the place. Part of the problem is that it's not really clear to me what is the preferred place for what issues by the Mediawiki community. The talk pages do not seem very well equipped for in depth troubleshooting discussions due to their format, nor do they seem very active. The Discourse forum seems pretty much dead and I got flagged by the automod there so I'm not even sure if anyone can see my post. This place seems to be the best equipped to discuss things though I'm not sure if I'm putting stuff in the right place.
