- Requested name of the mailing list (ending in enwiktionary@lists.wikimedia.org):
- Reasoning/explanation of purpose: The community feels we need a way to connect with readers through various social media, similar to what Wikipedia does. User input would be invaluable to the project. It is also felt this should be handled through an official email. Links to the appropriate threads: 1 2
- Initial list administrator's email address: vininn126@gmail.com
- Secondary list administrator's email address: thadhermeg@hotmail.com
- Description of the list for the list info page: An official email address for Wiktionary admins for use of connecting to readers and social media account creation.

Hi, you mean English Wiktionary admins or admins of all wiktionary projects? If the former, then it should be wiktionary-en-admins@lists.wikimedia.org (see https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Mailing_lists/Standardization)
Hello. I mean specifically English Wiktionary admins, but it could be used for English Wiktionary in general, certainly not all Wiktionary projects (hence the en prefix). What are the consequences of each?
if you want a general mailing list for English Wiktionary then it should be wiktionary-en@. We can have both.
Public: Everyone can join and read archives.
Private: If someone is admin, they can join (the mailing list owner needs to approve each request individually) and only members can read archives.
For admins and such, it's usually private because you might want to discuss issues and cases.
Okay, thank you for the explanation. Considering this mailing list is intended to be used also for social media account creation, I think we should limit it to admins, so I suppose 1) wiktionary-en-admins@lists.wikimedia.org 2) private.
However a general mailing list might be useful as well, it's just not what we had discussed prior in the threads.

Feel to create a separate request for mailing list for general matters of English Wiktionary. You can bring it up in your wiki's village pump to see how much of support it's going to get.
