Watchlist entries from the logs cannot be marked as visited
Open, MediumPublic

Description

Block log entries that appear in a watchlist (usually because the user's talk page is being watched) remain marked as unvisited even after visiting the blog log and the user page and talk page of both the blocked editor and the blocking admin. It seems the only way to clear it is the nuclear option of "mark all pages visited". It is not always useful to clear them in this way as other unread items could be lost.

I am told the same problem exists for other logs such as the move and deletion logs although I haven't confirmed this myself. Ideally, it should be possible to mark ANY entry as visited without actually visiting the page (it is often possible to tell from the edit summary that a visit is not needed). But if not, there should at least be a method of clearing individual log entries without affecting anything else.

I can confirm this issue with respect to an IP user I am watching. I can't get rid of the block log entry in my watchlist, and I don't want to use the "nuclear option" unless all of my watchlist reviews are completed.
