It would be useful if we could create filters that match on UserID number. That way username changes wouldn't affect filters that are user specific.

We already have variables user_name and article_first_contributor. New variables would be user_id (which would contain the user id of the editor) and article_first_contributor_id (containing the user id of the first user to contribute to the page). No need to use these variable names, of course, this was just a suggestion .
