Search snippet should exclude exclude same info as extracts
Closed, DuplicatePublic

Description

The returned snippet from a search currently returns the "for X see Y" and "Not to be confused with ..." information at the start of each page. By comparison getting the same page using the extracts function these templates are stripped out (assuming they set a div with the noexcerpt class).

The snippet in search would benefit from using the same logic as in extracts for identifying the text which is worth displaying.

Example (Lennart Pettersson (centerpartist)):

In addition to the search snippet example in the description there is also this result where the snippet gets changed because the search hit goes via a suggestion. (Possibly a separate task)

Deskana subscribed.

Nice idea, as this would help make the snippet more useful. Pretty low priority for us, though.
