Change the sitename on Serbian Wiktionary (sr.wiktionary)
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

The sitename of Serbian Wiktionary is currently "Wiktionary", whereas it should be "Викиречник", as that's the site's name in Serbian; this can clearly be seen on the Main Page, and by taking a look at NS_PROJECT.

Hi @Srdjan_m,

Thank you to have noticed that.

I'm preparing a config change. Meanwhile, could you add a section to the local project village pump about this issue and edit the task description to add the link to this section?

Any configuration request needs to ask feedback to the local community and gather a consensus there. You can read https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Requesting_wiki_configuration_changes for further reference.

Hi @Dereckson,

Thanks for a very quick response.

I'm familiar with the meta page you linked to. I added the link to the discussion, but as there's hardly any community to actually support it, I don't think it's going to get 2-3 votes. Probably 2 at the most, unless I ask people from the Serbian Wikipedia to come over and support it. Besides, I didn't add it because it's quite a trivial change.

At any rate, hopefully anyone voting for it helps. :)

Oh it's not only a question of voting, it's also an opportunity to notify the community on what's going on. And indeed, on small wikis with no active community, an informative message is enough.
