Table data missing on first page view
Closed, DeclinedPublic

Description

Author: thor.malmjursson

Description:
The table on the page mentioned appears to be suffering from aproblem where upon the first page view, (i.e going straight to the article), the summary column is missing. It does not refresh and show the whole page unless you click the discussion link, then return to the article. I have modified the table format once to try and shift the problem, which cleared it on my machine (Win2000Pro/IE6.0.2800) but left the problem for the other collaborators on the article. MathiasFox reports the error as being current on Mac (OS X/Firefox) and Lerdthenerd reports as current on IE (Version & System not yet specified).

Also meant to say that the reason its been reported as All on Hardware and OS is that it crosses multiple types and I didn't know how to list it otherwise. TAM

I have now received a reply from the other user mentioned, Lerdthenerd, who has notified me that he is running Windows XP with IE 7 - He has described the bug as being one which shrinks the whole table down, deleting its contents - the table only reverts to normal when he goes to the associated talk page, then returns to the article.

The column (third from the left) shows up fine for me using IE 7 (7.0.5730.11), and it's fine in Firefox (2.0.0.6) and Opera (9.21 build 8776) too.

Well I don't experience the problem on the 3 systems I use, Rob, so what could be affecting these 2 users is a mystery to me. I have one machine on Firefox 1.5.0 (Mandriva Linux), I.E 6 (Win2000Pro) and I.E6 on Win XP (6.0.2600).

I will refer the 2 users to this bug, and get them to leave notes on it directly if its OK with you. Thanks.

Page seems to display fine now (some 3ish years later). Feel free to reopen if you can duplicate the original problem.
