Please localize [[Special:SiteMatrix]]. The names of the sister projects and the word "Language" can be easily added as new system messages. Eventually, the names of columns are displayed in the language of every wiki instead of only in English currently.

The official project shouldn't really be translated if it needn't be, especially since the translated project name may conflict with the interwiki code (Vicipedia (sp) conflicts with v:).

What needs to be localized are the names of projects (not languages) which are: Wikipedia, Wiktionary, etc. These should be displayed in the language of every wiki. If there will be conflicts then this shouldn't be done.
Done with r24622 for the table headings and a new header for the other Wikimedia wikis.
But I think the projectnames (Wikipedia...) should stay on their canonical names.
