Dear friends;

In order to understand the functionality of « Gadgets » I created some [[user:I18n]] accounts and use different browsers as FF, Konqueror and Opera to work in parallel on the same projects.

My Opera Version is described at http://test.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:I18n/Opera .

I could activate the checkboxes at all projects / most of the projects listed at
[[commons:user:I18n]] mirrored at http://test.wikipedia.org/wiki/user:I18n

remark: [[m:]], [[w:yi:Main_Page]], [[s:yi:Main_Page]] and [[wikt:yi:Main_Page]] do not have « Gadget » preferens sections so far.

In order to activate checkboxes with Opera it is recommendet to click on the text beside the checkboxes; I experienced that direct clicks in the checkboxes will not activate / deactivate these.

This Opera releted strategy works mostly. However if you create an account at [[w:he:special:Userlogin]] and go to [[w:he:special:Preferences]] you may activate the checkboxes in all sections except of the « Gadget = #prefsection-10 » section.

From a chat at #wikipedia-de: If css is disabeled it is possible to activate / deactivate this checkboxes as well.
