Just take a look on a middle of page, near sections 'Extended mission' and 'Comet McNaught'. There are a lot of [edit] links which is grouped together, forced out by a group of images on the right.

This is a long known bug, which can be worked around by putting
at the end of every section.

But why it is not fixed, if it is a long known bug?

Because it's relatively hard to fix, and relatively easy to copypaste
or

If i understand you correctly, then this solution is not solution at all... its just moves text after the images. And this looks bad when there is a lot of images on the right. Is there any solution to keep text near the images? Can you edit this page or bring url to another correctly fixed page?

Don't stack all the images together at the top of the page. Moving the images closer to the place in the text where they occur in the article minimizes the edit tag pile-up without introducing a lot of whitespace as one finds with the "clear:both" solution.

To clarify on #5: don't put lots of images in the same section, but spread them. Also try to put an image in the section it appears next to.
