Description

NOTE: slide show is a mainstream image/interactive media viewer platform .

Problem: we need a slideshow for text & gallery in "Article" . it should have progress bar , Auto-play/timed transitions, Print mode & PDF export.
Proposed solution: we can develop gallery Mode parameter:mode="slideshow" ; to get some besic feature lke "progress bars".
wikia slider (1) (2) & Foswiki Slide Show (3) is perfect. jquery text slider is good. revolution slider (4) is extreme. or, we can use web-based slide shows engines . browser extensions can solve print problems. (5) (6) . It can be a subproject of MediaWiki-Gallery .

As I wrote on that page, "this proposal misses a description of a problem that you would like to see solved".

"Tasks" here in Phabricator should preferably cover specific requests or should have a clear scope. The task description above covers literally dozens of different feature requests and hence does not have a clear scope. Furthermore, this task describes a solution but not a problem. Please follow https://mediawiki.org/wiki/How_to_report_a_bug for future reference. :)

Someone might split up the Community Wishlist proposal into clearer, more specific wishes and these wishes might end up as spearate tasks in Phabricator, but this task here is currently invalid, hence closing.
