Archive tool purodha-testing
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

@Purodha passed away in August (cf. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benutzer:Purodha); he was the sole maintainer of the tool purodha-testing. Looking at /data/project/purodha-testing/access.log only shows bots/spiders accessing the webservice. Therefore I will:

  • Shut down the webservice.
  • Check whether there are any databases owned by this account (mysqldump --defaults-file=replica.my.cnf -h tools.labsdb s51141__purodha-testing -r tools-labsdb.sql).
  • Remove the service group.
  • Archive the home directory to /data/project/.system/removed_tools ((cd /data/project && sudo tar jcf purodha-testing.tar.bz2 purodha-testing); fix permissions afterwards).

Did I forget to delete the directory after archiving?!

I checked that the archive is still there and removed the directory, but deleting replica.my.cnf must be done on labstore. (This situation, a tool directory with service.manifest but no corresponding account in LDAP, had caused webservicemonitor to complain which brought me here.)

@scfc: Hi! The subtask is closed; is there more to do in this task? (And if yes, can that be done by you, or does someone else need to do that?)

Assignee has not been active since 2018 hence boldly resolving.
