I tried to rename [[fr:Utilisateur:Gpaumier]] to [[fr:Utilisateur:Test26092008]]. [[fr:Utilisateur:Gpaumier]] had 1 edit: http://fr.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Carl_Runge&diff=prev&oldid=33815922

I happened to enter the original account in lowercase ("gpaumier") in the "current username" field. It seemed to work and I got the [[MediaWiki:Renameusersuccess]] message. The first argument of the log message ($1 in [[MediaWiki:Renameuser-log]]) was consistent with [[fr:Utilisateur:Gpaumier]]'s number of edits (1) ("1 édition"): http://fr.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special%3AJournal&type=renameuser&user=Guillom&page=&year=&month=-1

But the account wasn't renamed. [[fr:Utilisateur:Test26092008]] is not a registered account and [[fr:Utilisateur:Gpaumier]] still has its only edit: [[fr:Special:Contributions/Gpaumier]]
