At the moment all open (not approved) applications count towards the total number of applications for which coordinators receive reminders (T161821). Some coordinators may not want reminding about applications which are 'Under discussion', and others may appreciate reminders for applications which are 'Approved' but not 'Sent'.

Users should have a setting which enables them to check tick boxes for whether each stage of a pending application (Pending, Under Discussion, Approved) counts towards their reminder emails. Having no reminders should be an option, but discouraged.
