It would be nice to be able to get a random page beyond "Random from articles" and be able to make such urls (may be special:random&cat=category name). Like getting a random page from a Category or a random page from a Namespace.

Random from namespace already exists. "Special:Random/File" will return a random page from the File: namespace, same for /Category, /Template_talk, or any other namespace you'd like.
