As for the date format; that is only used on the English Wikipedia as the options are English-specific and
introduced due to differences in standard American and British date formats.

It wouldnt need alot of change just:
[[DD. mm]] [[YYYY]]] instead of [[MM DD]], [[YYYY]], i would like to display
dates as ISO instead of as Icelandic due to me liking them better.

If you mean MediaWiki:Textboxsize then the (current) translation is "Breytingarflipinn"
