IABot fails to handle {{Toter Link|inline=ja}} correctly
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Here IABot beta12 fails to correctly replace the dead link template.

I'm not sure how to best handle this, it's a rather rare case.

Another case that was reported. I'll try to write a bot script to fix that.

While this is not technically supported with IABot's setup, the sanity checks already in the code do provide for a sufficient level of error handling to get the job done after this patch is made.

Working in beta14

To clarify: Does this mean that IABot will ignore these links from now on?

(I'm asking because then I might set up a script for my own bot to deal with them at some point in the future.)

No. IABot will replace them with a Webarchive template

This is not resolved, beta14 fails to correctly handle the case: diff

(I understand that these inline links are really problematic independent from IABot, but we need to find a solution here, which could very well be a cleanup script running locally.)

Not fully compatible, but beta15 won't completely screw up handling these. But the template itself allows way too many weird formats.

Thanks. I believe that the inline variant was introduced as a "personal" aid for weblink fixing by some users.

Personally, I would like to see it replaced by "regular" {{Toter Link}} inclusions.
