I got some new messages on my talk page, and Echo did inform me as expected.
But the JS variable wgUserNewMsgRevisionId is null (i.e. executing mw.config.get( 'wgUserNewMsgRevisionId' ) in the console shows null as result), though this should be set to the correct revision id (and especially not be null) when there are new messages.

Same here. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benutzer:Gereon_K./common.js is not doing anymore what it should do.

BTW, this also happens for users not logged in (though I'm not entirely sure whether the variable should be set in for those users, too, but I don't see a reason why not).
