For example, it shows that Frequently Asked Questions has 183 links. But if you click through, only six are listed.

We badly need these stats, so any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

The special page has updates disabled. It's possible to enable updates just for strategywiki with the variable $wgDisableQueryPageUpdate.

I don't know whether or not it's a good idea to do so, from a performance perspective, but it should be okay.
