Question: How can we present pictures from Wikipedia for our editors with no copyright?

Answer: it depends ;-)

The future: we have a project SDC Structured data in Commons were we will have all pictures in a "Wikidata" tool i.e. its a free application called Wikibase that is the same application/tool as Wikidata but for your own data i,.e. you can then do SPARQL and ask for all pictures of author "August Strindberg" Q7724 depicted when smoking a pipe... i.e. all pictures and objects in the picture will be linked data see example a wikidata object Q1231009 about a painting "The Coronation of Napoleon (1805-1807).jpg" see picture

I have done some tests in Wikidata --> I can then aska query like finds all people with a person in SBL Property 3217 depicted see tweet

• Swedish database with > 700 000 scanned pictures that is Wikidata property WD 4819
