<Krinkle> Krenair: I suppose 'cache_hosts' is useful to keep here [puppet.git] given it supports comments and commit summaries?
Our automatic commits (e.g. rCLIP03e578b5ffd7d169b96cbe8911202d8eda55352d) should probably have some option to include a message from the author.

Bonus point: allow managing hieradata using git. This has the challenge of auth, proper multitenancy, etc, but worth noting anyway.
