I’d like to be able to review changes to find bad edits that are getting past our first line of defence. In other words, the less-pointy end of the recent changes churn, after bots and other users have had a chance weed out the low-hanging fruit.
On English Wikipedia, as an example of a high-profile, busy project, 50 recent changes only covers two minutes. Even filtering to article space + unregistered editors + latest revision only shows 7 minutes.
There are two separate filters that affect the max age – “Results to show” and “Time period to search” – but none to filter by minimum age.
The mechanism to address this would probably be similar to, but the motivation different from, this three-year-old task awaiting triage: T178902: Filter on age in new recent changes
