When following a red link and editing a non-existing page, the "Article" tab links to action=edit
Closed, DeclinedPublic

Description

Hi, I discovered strange behavior while editing a page since red link (EV and wikicode 2010 & 2017) :

  • Go to a red link (exemple)
  • Click on the Article tab for quit
  • The editor reload

NORMAL ACTION

  • Edit a page (exemple)
  • Click on the Article button for quit
  • The editor closes

I think the same would have to happen for the red links, otherwise the button is useless . It looks like a bug.
Thanks

Hi @NemoLePoisson, thanks for taking the time to report this!

I don't understand which behavior you would expect instead... Could you please follow the structure on https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/How_to_report_a_bug and always provide 1) steps to reproduce, 2) what exactly happens, 3) what exactly you expect to happen instead, and why?

Unfortunately closing this Phabricator task as no further information has been provided.
@NemoLePoisson: After you have provided the information asked for and if this still happens, please set the status of this task back to "Open" via the Add Action...Change Status dropdown. Thanks!
