As far as I know, there is no easy way to remove multiple participants at once. If one has more than a hundred participants and wants to delete the event or just reupload the list of the participants, it takes a lot of clicking (each participant has his/her own "remove" button). I would suggest to add "Remove all participants" button (with "Are you sure?" pop up) to the Participants filter page.
