WikiWho misattributes editor as having added content when they only removed content
Open, Needs TriagePublic

Description

There's an issue wherein, authorship of "GayRehabProject84" for the article "118th United States Congress" is shown as 8,581 characters (https://xtools.wmflabs.org/articleinfo/en.wikipedia.org/118th_United_States_Congress#tool-authorship).
But their top edits page (https://xtools.wmflabs.org/topedits/en.wikipedia.org/GayRehabProject84/0/118th%20United%20States%20Congress) shows their contribution to be just one edit, even that "deleted" out 18 bytes, which seems pretty contradictory and also impossible.
Similarly, my authorship is significantly undercounted, as I found through manual count.
Thanks.

This is clearly a glitch in the WikiWho algorithm, and a quite bad one at that! This user should indeed have 0% authorship.

As I also maintain WikiWho, I deleted the data for that article to force WikiWho to reprocess the page history. Alas, we still see (roughly) the same statistics.

WikiWho isn't perfect. It's been shown to be about 95% accurate for enwiki. This might just be part of that 5% where it got it wrong :(
