It would be useful to be able to start playback at a certain point. Currently, you can skip forward and play a selection, but these methods both have limits. Starting from a specific utterance should not be to hard.

How to present this to the user may take some thinking. One solution would be to have another button next to the play button that does this. It would make sense to have it in the selection player since the user needs to indicate where in the text to start, which can be done by selection.
