'Show Changes' button missing in LQT
Open, LowestPublic

Description

When editing pieces of threads with Liquidthreads, the button 'Show Changes' below the edit window seems to randomly be shown or not shown. For one snippet, and one editing process, it seems constantly to be there or not, no matter, how often you use it, or how often you use preview.

So it may appear, even if you started a new message, and it may be missing, when you are altering an existing one.

Purodha: Have you recently experienced this problem, or is this obsolete nowadays? Are there any steps to reproduce or any ideas on likeliness, e.g. "happens more often on long threads" etc.?

And which browser and which version does/did this happen with?

I don't remember seen the button on LQT, ever.

E.g.: it is not there when I click in "More" > "Edit" on this thread:
https://pt.wikibooks.org/wiki/T%C3%B3pico:Wikilivros:Di%C3%A1logos_comunit%C3%A1rios/Novidades_da_Wikimedia,_Setembro_2012?uselang=en
(using Google Chrome 22.0.1229.94).

To be more precise, its code is actually in the HTML, but for some reason it has style="display: none; ":

<input id="wpDiff" name="wpDiff" type="submit" tabindex="5" value="Mostrar alterações" accesskey="v" title="Mostrar alterações que fez a este texto. [v]" style="display: none; ">

BTW: I see the text is in Portuguese if I set "uselang=en", so T30057: [[Special:Book]] should pass "uselang" url parameter to AJAX requests seems to affect LQT as well...

LiquidThreads has been replaced by StructuredDiscussions on all Wikimedia production wikis (except one, which will be done soon). It is no longer under active development or maintenance, so I'm re-classifying all open LQT tasks as "Lowest" priority.
