Description

List of steps to reproduce (step by step, including full links if applicable):

Open an arbitrary page
Click on the language selector drop menu on upper right (Vector 2022), it says "Missing language in A, B and more"
Select one "missing" language

What happens?:
Some languages appear even if it isn’t missing at all, and the redirect is erroneous.

Does that also happen when using safemode? Also, please always include URLs - "arbitrary pages" often do not show any problem. Please provide a full and complete list of steps to reproduce that leaves no room for interpretation.

No such entry is shown here in the dropdown. Cannot reproduce the interface in the screenshots.

Ja, it still happens in safe mode. Actually, it really appears everywhere as long as there is an interlanguage link on this page.

I could only see that dropdown option after enabling "Use a compact language list" on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-rendering

I can confirm that this goes to non-existing https://english.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:ContentTranslation?from=en&to=English&page=Takht-e+Soleym%C4%81n
