texvc does nothing

Description:
I have compiled texvc using ocaml 3.08.2. gs, dvips, convert and latex are
correctly installed on my system. When I issue a command like that:

texvc /tmp /out "y=2+x" iso-8859-1

texvc does nothing. No output, no error message. Within the wiki I only get the
message: "parser error". Write-access to tmp and out is granted.

Can you do an strace? This might show if something is failing behind the scenes.
Something like:

strace ./texvc /tmp /out "y=2+x" iso-8859-1 >& trace-log
