Description

Certain Elastic security features are only available in Xpack, which unfortunately does not have an OSI-approved license.

Creating this ticket to figure out which security features are available in Opensearch, and implement them if they make sense for our use case.

decline for now, opensearch is still a ways out and this will be evaluated once we are in a position to consider the opensearch migration.
