"Next" button in page curation toolbar doesn't filter redirects anymore

Steps to replicate the issue (include links if applicable):

  • enwiki, Special:NewPagesFeed
  • filter by unpatrolled redirects only
  • visit a redirect
  • in page curation toolbar, click next article button

What happens?:

  • goes to next unpatrolled redirect OR article

What should have happened instead?:

  • should go to next unpatrolled redirect only

Perhaps related to us tweaking the SQL queries in order to fix some stats in T310108 or T205741? Perhaps we changed an SQL query in a function, not realizing the function was also used by this.

OP says this is a regression.

Issue seems to have been resolved. Unclear to me how, but MPGuy2824 noted that they could not reproduce the problem and as of this morning neither can I.

Maybe it's intermittent. Will close for now. Please reopen ticket if it returns.
