Navbar template unusable on long article pages
Closed, InvalidPublic

Description

Wikipedia: I tried to include a Navbar template with the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:United_States_Template_Group, both directly to the template itself and also to the template in the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States article. Both types of edits work well on my talk page, but not in the United States article. When I apply the Navbar directly to the template, then refresh the United States page, ONLY the link "Template:Template group" prints at the bottom of the United States page. If I apply the Template group template to the United States Template Group in the United States article, all is well when I preview, but when I save the page, ONLY the link "Template:Navbar" prints at the bottom of the United States page. Is it because the United States article is so very long? Is there a way to fix this? Or is my own stuff hinky?

Please see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Template_limits. The page
in question is close to post-expand include size limit.

That was certainly an education for me. I found that near the top of a preview page, just under the notice in red that it's a preview page is a second notice in red that the limit's been reached and that some templates would not load. I'll pay attention to that in the future. So thank you very much, Max!

Indelibly yours,
