It is not obvious how to edit the authors of a tool if the data was crawled. For example, when editing https://toolhub.wikimedia.org/tools/toolforge-mismatch-finder it is not clear how to change the author list.

The main issue here I think is that Wikimedians are used to being able to edit what they can read, and Toolhub does not always allow that. We can do a better job of trying to point out who/where edits can be made though.
Things that might help with this:
- Display the actual origin URL on the detail view. In the case of the https://toolhub.wikimedia.org/tools/toolforge-mismatch-finder example that would be https://toolsadmin.wikimedia.org/tools/toolinfo/v1.2/toolinfo.json.
- When the origin is Striker as in the example, give a link to the tool's page in Striker as well. In the example case that would be https://toolsadmin.wikimedia.org/tools/id/mismatch-finder
