Reasons For Request:
Dear security-team,

as a maintainer of many non-WMF mediawiki installations, I would like to get read-rights to security-related issues.

The reason is that I have to judge if and how wikis I run for my clients are affected to decide how important/urgent it is for me to upgrade them. Reading about an incident before a patch is out is important for me to plan resources for patching as soon as possible.

I don't need any further rights, just reading threads and commenting/asking questions is sufficient.
