Feature summary
As an admin, once I delete a page, I see a special "Action complete" page, showing an acknowledgment of that deletion. Its content incudes "[name of deleted page]" has been deleted. See deletion log for a record of recent deletions."
In order to see links allowing me to "View and undelete deleted page", I have to then click on the link for the now non-existent page, where I then have to click on "View and undelete deleted page", to get to Special:Undelete&target=[name of deleted page]
Instead, the link to "View and undelete deleted page" should be included also on the "Action complete" acknowledgement page.
Use case(s)
Admins may need to view deleted pages/ diffs immediately after deletion for a number of reasons:
- To find the relevant editor(s) other contributions
- To block a bad editor
- To report a bad editor at a noticeboard, or to issue a conduct warning to them
- To check the correct page was deleted
- To undelete an erroneously deleted page
- Other
Benefits
The proposed change will remove an unnecessary step before the above actions can be performed, thus speeding up remedial actions and increasing admin productivity
