Pierre Michaud develops a tool to detect audio defects (amplitude jumps, clicks, etc.) in Lingua Libre recordings. Once it is ready, it would be interesting to add it to the recording wizard so that it checks all newly recorded sounds and marks those that have a defect.

A few notes:

• Avoid checking on the client side (limited RAM, especially on mobile phones).
• Check using the bug detection tool: on the Lingua Libre server, before sending to Commons (the recordings are "stashed", hosted on our MediaWiki, directly after being recorded, and it is these files that are sent to Commons). See Extension:UploadStash.
• Beware of the server load (several speakers recording at the same time).
