Feature summary (what you would like to be able to do and where): I would like to be able to add a monospaced code box with a "convert" button anywhere in an article; I would to be able to add wikitext into the box, and then when I press "convert", only then does VE render the text into its result. Similarly, I would like to be able to convert template-generated artifacts into these boxes of wikitext.

Use case(s) (list the steps that you performed to discover that problem, and describe the actual underlying problem which you want to solve. Do not describe only a solution): Trying to edit in userspace, underlying problem is that it doesn't deal with templates well.

Benefits (why should this be implemented?): There are things I want to edit or add, but the visual editor is simply awful at dealing with complicated templates in a WYSIWYG way. This way, I can briefly convert things to source, edit them the way I need to, and then convert back without having to load up the source editor and find my place again.
