I'm running a Mediawiki instance, i made a shell script that checks for the mediawiki version used by wikipedia and upgrade the instance based on that version, i was wondering how does wikipedia decide to upgrade to the next mediawiki version, what is the mechanism followed, and how do they automate the upgrade, is the method they use to automate the upgrade available online to use it on my own?
