We want to avoid enabling VE on namespaces which contain discussions, such as the page you linked to (VE does not handle the indentation used in discussions very well). Are most pages in the Wikipedia: namespace on your wiki non-discussion content?

@Esanders, yes, there are fewer than 10 active pages in the Wikipedia namespaces that contain discussions (the village pump being one). Most active pages in the Wikipedia: namespace are either policy or project pages. We mainly want to enable VE because we have a lot of list pages (like this) that are being used for collaboration when translating from other wikis, and working with tables is much-much easier with VE.

It is now possible to enable the visual editor in the Wikipedia:namespace. At pages where discussions happen, and where visual editing is needed, DiscussionTools must be used for discussions.
The visual editor is still not designed to edit or participate in discussions, hence the Editing Team will not prioritize fixing any issue related to VE and talk pages.
