We have been successfully running datacentre switchovers twice a year, to ensure that our tooling is sound, it is time we did the same for our documentation.

Improvements:

• Remove duplication of information
• Clearly note the required patches
• Describe thoroughly how and when to test the process before the switchover week
• Document all steps for the mediawiki switchover, clearly separating the manual from the cookbook steps
