maximumEditcount for Edit check sets the number of edits threshold from where you don't see checks anymore.
At the moment, this value looks at all edits at all namespaces. some users might not see Edit check long enough to benefit from it.
For instance, a user who makes +100 of edits at their sandbox (located under user namespace), at the help desk... and then goes to the main space, would not get any Check.
