Questions that the document needs to answer:

• how are data types represented? how are they shown on the wiki? how are they maintained?
• how can data types be extended?
• how are they translated?
• take into account at least the list of data types from the data model. Think for example about unit conversion. Where will units and conversions be defined and maintained?
• check and compare with how SMW does it, might prove very useful input.
• composite types? intervals? (rf to IntervalSnaks and Geocoordinates)
• rendering, serialization, editing -- where are they located in the code? how does the architecture look like for this?
