Control key shortcuts prevent use of Emacs-style editing in MacOS browsers
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description:
A lifetime of using Emacs has caused the keyboard shortcuts to become tattooed on my fingers.

Fortunately, these shortcuts work beautifully in my web browsers, probably because the developers of MacOS X faced a
similar situation.

So when I go to Wikipedia, and type Control-E to get to the end of the line, or Control-F to go forward a character, or
any number of similar keys, I get Wikipedia functions that are fully duplicated on the screen. I know it sounds minor or
even funny, but it's truly infuriating to use something that works on every other web editing screen on the planet
and have it come up and do previews or searches.

Could it be made possible to disable these shortcuts?
