Regarding log messages, here's my proposal after talking with jeremyb very briefly on IRC:
There'd be two channels in use (-qa and -operations) where certain topics are !log'd based on shared responsibility or not. The breakdown below:
#wikimedia-qa: !log
Is for things related to the Beta Cluster (and future second Beta Cluster) config/etc changes. This could be a special [[wikitech:Release Engineering/SAL]] page.
#wikimedia-operations: !log
Is for things like:
- Jenkins
- Zuul
- Gerrit
