There are some mp3 files at this wiki and also files with other extensions.

It might be a good idea to build a dynamic table of existing extensions in the
Media namespace and provide a selection field (and a parameter for URL's) to
select files with this extension in relevant special pages:
[[Special:Imagelist]], [[Special:Newimages]] etc.
